Following the launch of Manta Pacific Mainnet Alpha, we have witnessed tremendous growth in adoption and usage on the network. MantaFest, the 5-week celebration of the launch of Manta Pacific, was a key driver in that growth. Pacific has experienced over 1150%+ growth in TVL with over $27m locked on the network, pushing the network into the top 20 L2 chains as one of the largest OP stack chains, just under Base. To continue providing support for the success we have already witnessed with MantaFest, Manta Pacific introduced the Uncharted Pacific Grants Program on October 12, 2023.
The Uncharted Pacific Grants Program is designed to support the earliest ecosystem projects that intend to grow alongside Manta Pacific. The goal of Uncharted Pacific is to boost participation and reward projects and communities that are putting in a concerted effort to support the early adoption of Manta Pacific.
Over the course of MantaFest, projects were introduced to the community, which gave them all an opportunity to onboard new users to try out the exciting decentralized applications deployed on Manta Pacific today. The Uncharted Pacific Grants Program has reserved a total of 5 million $Manta, equivalent to 0.5% of the total token supply, to reward those projects for their efforts. 2.5 million of the 5 million in grants have been awarded to MantaFest: Dawn projects based on their transaction volume and TVL.
